Thoughts on Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D 2018:

  • Lars Bertenbreiter3D Printing Sales Manager, HP Deutschland GmbH

We came to Erfurt with our sales partners to introduce ourselves to Rapid.Tech for the first time, and present a broad range of applications for additive manufacturing. Visitors were very interested; the people who stopped to talk with us had a high level of basic knowledge about additive manufacturing and had ideas in mind for how to use it. Visitors to our stand were primarily from the mechanical engineering and automation technology sectors, but there were also representatives from the aviation and automotive industries. They came from small and medium-sized firms as well as DAX companies from all over Germany. We are very happy to have exhibited in Erfurt and with the customer response we received here.

  • Karsten EdelmannRegional Head of Sales, GE Additive

For us, Rapid.Tech is an important place to present our range of services. We value the combination of trade fair and conference as well as the quality of the trade visitors. In past years, our participation has always generated post-fair business. We’re hoping for more of the same from the 2018 event.

  • Carl FruthChairman of the Board, FIT AG

I am impressed by the professionalism of the visitors. I’m especially pleased that the companies in the start-up area are presenting such forward looking solutions. Our company has been a Rapid.Tech partner from the very beginning, and the most important part of it for us is the networking. One way we use our time in Erfurt is to introduce new employees to the additive manufacturing family, because this is a place where you can get to know the market in a compact format.

  • Dr Stephan WeißAsiga Deutschland

We have been at Rapid.Tech since 2014 under the Australian brand Asiga, and we use the fair to strengthen our network and to uncover innovations in the field of 3D printing. The presence of the major companies in the industry, and the high quality of the trade visitors, is great for us. And we can usually count on getting business from the contacts we have made at the fair, even several months after the event.

  • Holger HartmannDepartmental Head of Sales, Bosch Rexroth AG

As a drive and control technology specialist, we are certainly not the typical exhibitor for this fair. But additive manufacturing is also playing an increasing role for us. On the one hand, we equip 3D printing manufacturers, and on the other we use the technology ourselves, to manufacture parts additively. Exhibiting in Erfurt is a good introduction to this area for us. We received a good response and will definitely be here again next year.

  • Dr Lutz KlokeCellbricks GmbH

We developed a 3D printer that can be used to produce organs based on artificially generated living cells, and this won us the fair’s Start-Up Award. We are delighted with this and with the huge response we got in Erfurt. We had lots of interesting discussions here, both with experts who are closely involved with the area and were interested in our company’s future plans, and with students who were being introduced to 3D printing for the first time.

  • Florian KellermannGoetheLab for Additive Manufacturing, Aachen University of Applied Sciences

Our FabBus, where we demonstrate 3D printing live, once again saw a large number of visitors. They came from companies or were students with a general interest in the topic, but they also asked about specific training or the possibility of collaborating on research projects. The fair in Erfurt provided a great opportunity for networking as well as time for high-quality discussions.
